I have been researching applications of the maximum entropy principle for two decades. Only very recently (November 2009) was I able to find an application of the MEP to climate change.
My claims here are bound to be highly controversial. In my first essay on the subject, “The ‘Pot Lid’ Hypothesis,” I argue that the models used to arrive at the present international consensus are fundamentally flawed, and exaggerate future warming by a factor of about 3 to 5.
The essay is available for download on the page labeled “The ‘Pot Lid’ Hypothesis”. My reasons for writing it are outlined on a separate page below. I hope to get substantial feedback on the essay from readers in the coming weeks, and as I do this page will be regularly updated.
